The Evil Dead focuses on five Michigan State University students: Cheryl (Ellen Sandweiss); her brother Ash (Bruce Campbell); his girlfriend Linda (Betsy Baker); Scotty (Hal Delrich); and Scotty's girlfriend Shelly (Sarah York).
